Day 2 Pray for the President, Nelson Abraham (Gail) as he travels, visiting Churches and Associations of the Baptist Union, preaching, encouraging and challenging us on the theme "God's Mission, Our Compassion".
Day 3 Pray for the General Secretary, Angelo Scheepers (Naomi), as he preaches, motivates, leads and shares the "Local Church Alive" thrust of the Baptist Union. Pray for the Financial Administration staff: Barry Smith (Gill), Geni Göpper (Johann); the staff at Baptist House: Althea Cornelius, Esther Sebopa; the Training Centre Maintenance Staff: Godfrey Hood (Veronica); David Khumalo (Joyce) and Isaac Ngema (Priscilla); Training Centre Admin/Hospitality Staff: Andile and Hellen Buthelezi, Cynthia Moyo, John Fileso (part-time).
Day 4 Pray for the Missions Developer, Nelson Abraham (Gail) as he leads the Missions thrust of the Union. Pray for Natalie Hood in her role as BMD Office Secretary. Pray for Erroll Muller (Michelle) and Deeds of Love Ministries (DOLM) as they assist our churches to become involved in practical/compassionate ministries. Pray for Esperance Mangayi, the part-time DOLM office secretary.
Day 5 Pray for the Border Baptist Association and the Co-ordinating Committee led by their President, Thanduxolo Yoyo (Queeny), Vice President Michael Ntozini (Lillian). Pray for the Association Officers and Office Administrator.
Day 6 Pray for the Council, Lecturing, Administrative/Office Staff and Students of the Baptist Theological College, Randburg; the Principal, Martin Pohlmann (Wendy); Lecturers: Gregory Pereira (Vercia); Desmond Henry (Lara), David Carton (Pam), Megan Braithwaite (Errol), Mark Koekemoer and the associate part-time lecturing staff (Barry Brokensha, Duncan Muller, Norman Ronne, Paul Vuntarde, Sam Ndoga).
Day 7 Pray for the future of BYSA Youth Ministries. Pray for Tembani Zani (Thembakazi), BU Scripture Exam Convenor. Pray for the Association Youth Developers/Directors/Committees. Pray for Children's Pastors and local church ministry to children.
Day 8 Pray for the Missions Outreach into Africa. Pray for Keith and Christeen Moller as they reach the Yao people of Malawi. Pray for Lima and Maria Zamba, our missionaries in Angola. Pray for the continuation of our Baptist witness in Mauritius and Zambia. Pray for our churches partnering with local churches in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Kenya. Pray for Vanessa Patience (PEPE).
Day 9 Pray for the ministry of Bible Way, for Les Roos (Gerrit) and the team at Baptist House; for the volunteers involved at the satellite centres. Pray for the students, many of whom are prisoners. Pray for the ministry of the Bible Society and our Baptist Union representative, Clive van Rooyen (Lyn).
Day 10 Pray for the work and ministry of the Free State Baptist Association and the Chairman Michael Leripa (Patricia), Vice Chairman Martin Seliane (Dorah), the Executive and Officers. Pray for Mohau Radebe, the part-time Youth Developer and the Church Planters in the Association.
Day 11 Pray for the Confidential Consultant, Peter Holness (Anne) as he seeks to give counsel to churches, pastors and individuals. Pray for pastors/missionaries who are facing particular trials and difficulties, and for the Elders, Deacons and Leaders of our churches.
Day 12 Pray for Church Planting in the BUSA and for the training of Church Planters facilitated by Terry Rae (Veronica) and Shadrack Monageng (Anna) of Africa for Christ.
Day 13 Pray for the work of the Eastern Province Baptist Association led by President Ernie du Plooy (Jenny) and Vice President David Reid (Nadene), the Executive and Officers. Pray for the Office Secretary Jenny du Plooy, and for the Church Planters in the Association.
Day 14 Pray for the Ministry Board Co-ordinator, Rick Inglis (Jean) as he administers the Pastoral Care Department of the BUSA; for Lyn Webster, part-time secretary; for Trevor Swart and George Ngamlana as they minister to our retired pastors/pastoral widowers and widows; for Brian Jardine (Sonja), and the Pastoral Care Ministry in the Associations. Pray for the Pension Fund Trustees, the Chairman Steve Mann (Anne), the Principal Officer Jaap Mol (Maria) and for the Administrators. Pray for our pastors/missionaries on pension and our pastoral widows.
Day 15 Pray for the Cape Town Baptist Seminary Board, Foundation Trustees, Lecturing and Administrative Staff and Students of the CTBS; the Principal Linzay Rinquest (Colleen); Lecturers: Godfrey Harold (Patricia), Ronnie Davis (Gail), Kennedy Mulenga (Elizabeth), Clayton Alexander (Lauren), Paul Hartwig (Heather), Annelien Rabie-Boshoff (Hennie), Marius de Villiers (Rehana) and the office staff.
Day 16 Pray for the spreading of the Gospel in our land by our churches, and for Pastors to preach the Gospel. Pray for all our Evangelists and the "Local Church Alive" thrust. Pray for Errol Wesson (Claudia), Raymond September (Grezelda), Steve Mann, and the Evangelism Commission working under the Missions Department as they assist our churches and develop evangelistic outreaches.
Day 17 Pray for the Baptist Women's Department: the President, Edith Smith as she leads, encourages and promotes "Serving God Generously"; the Director, Patricia Ihlenfeldt (Reuben); Naomi Scheepers (Angelo) and the ministry to Pastors' Wives; Aukje Brouwer (Toby) as she trains leaders; Tere Basson (John) and May Shenton as they develop the "Hidden Treasure" ministry; Heather Sullivan (Andy) and the ministry to widows/pastoral families. Pray for the Missions and Outreach Committee: Jeanette Mashigo (Stanley), Patricia, Heather and Gloria Mketsu (Bathwell).
Day 18 Pray for the Afrikaanse Baptiste Kerk, the President Jannie Vosloo (Salome), the Executive and member churches. Pray for the Principal of the Seminarium, the Administrative and Lecturing staff and the Students. Pray for the work of the Historical Society, and our BU Archivist, Mark Penrith (Liezl).
Day 19 Pray for the moving of God's Spirit upon our churches, that renewal and revival will be experienced in the hearts and lives of individual Christians, leaders and pastors. Pray for Frank Pretorius (Joy) and Graham Wood (Leona) as they spearhead Church Renewal Weekends/Unity Seminars as part of "Local Church Alive".
Day 20 Pray for the worldwide Baptist family; for the All Africa Baptist Fellowship and their General Secretary, Isaac DurosinJesu Ayanrinola; the outreach of Conventions and Unions throughout Africa. Pray for the incoming Baptist World Alliance President, Paul Msiza, the General Secretary Neville Callam, and the staff of the BWA.
Day 21 Pray for the Baptist Association of the Northern Cape, for the Chairman Albert Ntamehlo and incoming Chairman Karneels Diutlwileng (Alina), the Secretary Patrick Mosinki and the Executive. Pray for Petrus and Mariana Vorster, the Missionaries/Church Developers in the Upington area.
Day 22 Pray for the impact of Baptists Today as it continues to inform and inspire Baptists in our churches. Pray for the Editor Nigel D'Aubrey (Janis) and the Committee that they may know the Lord's guidance and pray for support by the local churches. Day 23 Pray for the work of the Western Province Baptist Association, for the Executive and Officers; the Regional Director Clive Jacobs (Ursula); the Youth Developer Eric Hofmeyer (Carol-Anne), Chairman Patrick Diba (Lusanda), Vice Chairmen Linzay Rinquest and David McDonald (Anne), and the Church Planters in the Association.
Day 24 Pray for the BU Finance Committee, for the Chairman Mike Melnick (Rose) and for the members as they guide the financial affairs of the Union in these challenging days. Pray that our churches will take seriously their giving to the corporate ministries of the BUSA. Pray for Graham Wood as he guides the Union in the area of fund-raising, and for George Ngamlana (Peggy), the new part-time Special Projects Developer.
Day 25 Pray for the BU Chaplains: (a) Security Services: Thomas Magodi (Cathy); Elvis Notshe (Eleanor); Frank Meulenbeld (Sharon); (b) Correctional Services: Jonathan and Jenny Clayton; (c) SA Police Services: Michael Leripa (Patricia), (d) Emergency Services: John Grubb (Alet); Ken Walbrugh (Amy), Mark Bowler (Joanne). Pray for Lucas Potgieter (Zillah), the GS's representative at various meetings.
Day 26 Pray for the work of the Baptist Northern Association led by President/Co-ordinator Lance Laughton (Kathy), for the Executive Committee as they seek God's will for the way ahead. Pray for Samaria Mission, the Church Planters, churches and fellowships in the rural communities of Limpopo, Venda, Mpumalanga and North West.
Day 27 Pray for our State President, Jacob Zuma, and the leaders of our land as they seek to find solutions to HIV/AIDS, poverty, crime, corruption and violence in South Africa. Pray for the Christian Citizenship Committee, as they lead us during these challenging days and for the Chairman, George Ngamlana.
Day 28 Pray for the work of the KZN Baptist Association led by President Trevor Eayrs (Marilyn), Vice President Dean Meistre (Adele), Executive and Officers. Pray for the Executive Steering Committee, the Administrator; the Church/Missions Developers Richard Seku (Nosipho) and Trevor Eayrs. Pray for the Church Planters in the Association. Pray for the Durban Inner-City missionary, Paul Richardson.
Day 29 Pray for the work of the International Missions Board serving in the Associations of the Baptist Union, for Daren Davis (Shana) 'Ocean-to-Ocean' Cluster Strategy Leader.
Day 30 Pray for a united Baptist witness in our country through the South African Baptist Alliance. Pray for the Baptist Convention, Baptist Mission, Baptist Association and their Presidents and General Secretaries. Pray for the preparations for the 2015 Baptist World Alliance Congress (Durban) and the Local Arrangements Committee led by Paul Msiza.
Day 31 When the month has 31 days, pray for the Students at our Colleges, for their physical and spiritual needs to be met as they prepare for Christian Service. Pray, too, that God will raise up more labourers for His harvest field for the years to come.
